Hero MotoCorp, the world's largest manufacturer of motorcycles and scooters, recently launched its new entry-level commuter bike – the Hero HF 100. The bike has been designed to meet the needs of the Indian market

Hero HF 100 is powered by a 97.2cc air-cooled, single-cylinder engine that generates maximum power of 7.91 bhp at 8,000 rpm and peak torque of 8.05 Nm at 6,000 rpm. The engine is mated to a 4-speed gearbox and a wet multi-plate clutch. The top speed of the bike is 90 kmph and it can accelerate from 0-60 kmph in 9.5 seconds.

The bike gets telescopic front suspension and 2-step adjustable hydraulic shock absorber at the rear. It comes with 130 mm drum brakes at both the ends, which provide ample stopping power. The ground clearance of the bike is 165 mm and the curb weight is 110 kg.

In terms of design, the Hero HF 100 looks simple and elegant. It gets blacked-out engine and exhaust, blacked-out alloy wheels and a semi-digital instrument cluster. The fuel tank capacity of the bike is 9.1 liters and claimed mileage of 65 kmpl.

Hero HF 100 is available in 4 color options - Black with Red, Black with Purple, Black with Gray and Heavy Gray with Green. Bike cost Rs. 49,400 (ex-showroom, Delhi), making it one of the cheapest motorcycles in India.
