Indore's New Bypass Will Be 139 Km Long

139 Km Long

Indore. The existing bypass has become busy due to residential, commercial and other activities with ever increasing urban traffic. On the other hand, due to the narrow bogda, the jam seems different everyday. Although a new bypass ie outer ring was proposed in the master plan of Indore, but it could not be implemented. Now the Public Works Department has recently prepared a proposal for a new bypass of 139 kilometers and sent it to the Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways. This new ring road will also connect two major highways, which pass through Indore itself. Due to this, half a dozen surrounding districts will also develop rapidly. At the same time, Indore will also get benefit for the coming 50 years. The Shivraj government is ready to give 25 percent of the amount spent in this in the Bharat Mala Challenge Mode scheme. The project was sent to Delhi for approval only after the consent of the Chief Minister.

The project to convert the service road of the existing bypass of Indore into four lane was also prepared and sent by the local administration and the corporation, on which more than Rs 400 crore would be spent. At present, the Municipal Corporation is busy in four-laning the service road from Yojna 140 to DPS School in the part of the urban area. But the way residential-business activities are increasing rapidly on both sides of the bypass. Because of that it has become an urban road. Therefore, the state government has handed over a new proposal to Road, Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari recently. In which the new bypass i.e. Ring Road of Indore is to be built. Which will be 139 km long and this new bypass will also be away from the proposed existing ring road, so that all types of external traffic can pass through it. Actually, the biggest problem in this type of project comes from land acquisition. Which has now become a very expensive and complicated task. Actually the project which is approved by the central government. In that, the responsibility of land acquisition rests with the state government. Whose compensation also he has to pay. This is the reason. That the new bypass project could not be implemented yet. Recently, the Secretary of the Public Works Department, Sukhvir Singh has prepared and sent this proposal. And from this Agra-Mumbai Corridor and Kandla-Sagar Corridor which pass through Indore itself. They too will join. Ahmedabad, Nagpur and National Highway 43, which are in the west-south, as well as the Agra-Mumbai National Highway 52 bypass in the east and north. This new ring road will cover it. Now this is to be seen. That till when the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways of the Center approves the project of this new Indori Bypass.

A control area of 45-45 meters has been left on both sides of the existing bypass. In which the government had amended some time ago and when Agnibaan disclosed the abolition of this control area, then the government sent amendment orders in it. On the other hand, for the last one year, the order to fix the control area to 22.5 meters is stuck in Bhopal itself. If it gets approved.
